These Terms & Conditions govern your relationship with us and outline your rights and responsibilities, helping ensure clarity and confidence throughout your journey.
1. Applicability of Terms
These Terms & Conditions apply to all travel products and services booked through Eco Safaris Africa DMC (“we,” or “us”), regardless of booking channel or travel date. They supplement any additional conditions that may apply to specific bookings, tours, or third-party providers. By confirming your booking, you agree to be bound by these terms on behalf of yourself and all members of your party.
2. Our Commitment to You
Eco Safaris Africa DMC is dedicated to excellence, transparency, and customer care. Our experienced team crafts tailor-made itineraries, prioritizes your safety, and provides continuous support—from inquiry through post-trip feedback. We are passionate about sharing Tanzania’s rich wildlife, culture, and landscapes responsibly and sustainably.
3. Privacy and Data Protection
We respect your privacy and handle your personal information with the highest standards of confidentiality and security. Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your data when you visit our website, contact us, or make a booking. By using our services, you consent to our data practices as described therein.
4. Updates to Terms & Conditions
To maintain clarity and compliance with evolving legal and operational standards, Eco Safaris Africa DMC reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Any material changes will be communicated via email to clients with active bookings, and revised terms will be posted on our website. Continued use of our services after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
5. Intellectual Property Rights
All content on our platforms—text, images, logos, videos, and trademarks—are owned or licensed by Eco Safaris Africa DMC. Unauthorized use, copying, or distribution is prohibited. We appreciate your respect for our intellectual property and encourage sharing within legal and ethical guidelines.
6. Pricing Transparency
- Our prices are quoted per person, in US Dollars (USD), unless otherwise specified.
- Prices exclude personal expenses such as passports, visas, travel insurance, tips, optional activities, and any items not explicitly included in your itinerary.
- We base pricing on known costs at the time of quotation. Prices may fluctuate due to currency changes, government fees, fuel surcharges, or other uncontrollable factors.
- All price adjustments will be communicated promptly.
7. Booking & Confirmation
Upon inquiry, we provide a detailed itinerary including destinations, accommodations, activities, and pricing. Confirmation requires your written acceptance of the itinerary and terms. Your booking is secured only after receipt of the deposit and written confirmation from Eco Safaris Africa DMC. We encourage reviewing all documents carefully to ensure accuracy.
8. Deposits & Payments
- A 30% deposit is required to secure a booking. This deposit forms part of the payment for the trip and shall be offset against the total amount charged to the client. The remaining balance must be paid at least 30 days before departure.
- If the full amount is not paid at least four (4) weeks before departure, the Company reserves the right to treat the booking as cancelled, and the deposit shall be forfeited as per the cancellation policy.
- Clients booking within four (4) weeks of tour departure are required to pay the full amount immediately to secure the reservation.
All bank charges are to be settled by the client. This includes transaction fees charged by our bank. The amount shown on the invoice is the amount that needs to reflect in our account, and should bank charges have been deducted, we would have to invoice you subsequently.
9. Amendments and Cancellations by You
- Any changes to your booking after confirmation are subject to availability and may incur additional charges.
- Cancellation policies vary by tour and service provider; please refer to your booking confirmation for specific details.
- We recommend travel insurance to protect against unforeseen cancellations.
10. Changes by Eco Safaris Africa DMC
While we strive to adhere to confirmed itineraries, occasionally circumstances beyond our control may require adjustments (e.g., weather, safety concerns, infrastructure issues). We will notify you promptly and endeavor to offer comparable alternatives or refunds where necessary. Minor changes that do not materially affect your trip do not entitle you to compensation.
11. Travel Documents & Entry Requirements
You are responsible for obtaining and carrying valid passports, visas, and health certificates, including vaccinations required for entry to Tanzania and any transit countries. Please verify requirements with the relevant embassies well in advance. Eco Safaris Africa DMC is not liable for costs or delays caused by failure to meet these requirements.
12. Insurance Requirements
Comprehensive travel and medical insurance is mandatory. Your policy should cover trip cancellation, medical treatment, emergency evacuation, and loss or theft of belongings. We recommend reviewing your coverage carefully and informing us of any specific needs.

13. Health & Medical Conditions
Disclose any medical conditions, disabilities, or dietary restrictions at booking. We will assess suitability and advise on necessary arrangements. Eco Safaris Africa DMC reserves the right to decline bookings where needs cannot be safely met or if nondisclosure poses risks to yourself or others.
14. Travel Risks & Safety
Tanzania’s natural environment and infrastructure differ from other countries, presenting inherent risks such as wildlife encounters, uneven roads, infectious diseases, and climate extremes. Participation is at your own risk. Follow all safety instructions, wear seat belts, and use provided safety gear. Eco Safaris Africa DMC cannot be held liable for injuries or losses caused by ignoring safety guidance.
15. Carriers & Transport Conditions
Airlines, ferries, and other transport providers operate under their own terms and are responsible for schedule changes, cancellations, delays, and lost luggage. Eco Safaris Africa DMC acts as your booking agent and cannot be held liable for issues outside our control, though we will assist wherever possible.
16. Handling Issues During Your Trip
Report problems immediately to the relevant provider or our local representative. Prompt notification allows timely resolution. Complaints made after the trip may limit our ability to assist.
17. Authority of Guides & Conduct
Our guides and drivers are trained professionals whose decisions are final in ensuring safety and smooth operation. Respect local laws, customs, and regulations at all times. Unruly or illegal behavior may result in termination of services without refund.
18. Use of Photographs and Testimonials
By traveling with Eco Safaris Africa DMC, you consent to the use of any photos, videos, or testimonials taken during your trip for marketing purposes, with full copyright held by Eco Safaris Africa DMC.
19. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
This agreement is governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania. Jurisdiction for any disputes resides with the courts of Arusha, Tanzania.
20. Language and Interpretation
These Terms & Conditions are originally drafted in English. Any translations are for convenience only; the English version prevails in case of discrepancies.
21. Contractual Agreement
Your booking forms a binding contract with Eco Safaris Africa DMC. Only authorized directors can amend these terms. Bookings can only be made by persons aged 18 or older. Confirmation of your booking indicates your full acceptance of these Terms & Conditions on behalf of your party.
22. Force Majeure
Neither Eco Safaris Africa DMC nor its suppliers is liable for failure to perform caused by unforeseeable events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to: war, civil unrest, terrorism, natural disasters, pandemics, strikes, technical failures, or government actions.
23. Sustainable and Responsible Travel
Eco Safaris Africa DMC is committed to sustainable tourism that respects local communities and the environment. We encourage responsible travel behaviors, including minimizing waste, respecting wildlife, and supporting local economies. Together, we can help preserve Tanzania’s natural beauty for generations to come.
24. Tour Operator Liability Insurance
Eco Safaris Africa DMC is fully protected by Tour Operator Liability Insurance, ensuring that both our company and our valued guests are covered against unforeseen incidents during travel. This insurance protects legal liability in the event of accidental bodily injury, illness, or property damage suffered by clients during tours arranged by us. It also covers professional liability for errors or omissions in the services we provide.
