Following breakfast at the hotel, you leave Arusha for Tarangire as you witness the gradual transformation of the landscape, unveiling the subtle beauty of the adventure that waits.
Known to be a hidden gem in the northern safari circuit of Tanzania, Tarangire with its expansive landscapes is adorned by ancient baobab trees, ethereal fever tree forests, and glistening swamps – it doesn’t take long before you start to appreciate it’s beauty. The park is also known for its impressive elephant population, and hosts a diverse array of wildlife, including lions, buffalo, and an abundance of other species.
As the day winds down, leave for your booked lodge inside the park, where comfort and a delectable dinner await you – offering a perfect end to an unforgettable day of adventures.

Overnight: Tarangire National Park
Following an early morning breakfast, your driver-guide will be ready to accompany you on a game drive – this time in Ngorongoro Crater.
Known for potentially hosting the largest permanent concentration of wildlife in Africa, the Ngorongoro Crater, is a marvel to leave you in awe. During the rainy season of April and May the landscape of the crater become lush and green. For photographers, this season boasts the best light of the year.
Home to the famous African Big Five: elephant, rhinoceros, buffalo, lion, and leopard – the crater’s abundance of freshwater sources also creates a haven for diverse wildlife, distinguishing it from the Serengeti and making it a favored destination for wildlife and bird enthusiasts alike. Within the Lerai Forest, nature showcases its treasures, offering glimpses of the gigantic elephants with huge tasks, waterbucks, and, if luck is on your side, the elusive leopards in inner sections of the crater.
In the afternoon, savor a packed lunch before resuming your game drive. After a wonderful day of exploration, you head to your pre-arranged lodge for a restful evening. Enjoy dinner and look forward to tomorrow.

After breakfast at the lodge, set sail towards Lake Eyasi with the aim to immerse yourself in the rich culture of the Hadzabe and Datoga. Inhabiting this region for over 10,000 years, the Hadzabe tribe have been upholding traditional hunting and gathering practices, offering a unique and authentic experiences to visitors who wish to meet them one on one.
Whilst here, you’ll witness some captivating demonstrations of hunting techniques by the Hadzabe bushmen, and perhaps even try your hand at shooting arrows as during hunting. Meanwhile, you’ll gain insights into the fruit-gathering practices of the women. Capture every moment with incredible photos, making this tour a unique highlight of your safari. These incredible activities provide invaluable insights into the lifestyles of the Hadzabe and Datoga people alike.
After a day likely to remain etched in your memory for years, you return to Arusha, where your safari began, and transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your onward flight.
