Known locally as “Kikuletwa” or “Maji Moto,” Chemka Hot Springs is a peaceful natural retreat at the base of Mt. Kilimanjaro, offering a refreshing break before your safari.
The day starts with an early morning departure after breakfast at the hotel in Arusha. Upon arrival, the springs welcome you with crystal-clear blue water surrounded by lush tropical vegetation. If you’re lucky, you might spot a few playful monkeys in the trees. The water isn’t hot, but its gentle warmth makes for a perfect swim, and tiny fish may give your feet a light, ticklish nibble. For a bit of adventure, try the rope swing, while your local guide shares stories and ensures you make the most of the experience. Be sure to bring a swimsuit to fully enjoy the inviting water.
Come midday, you’ll settle under the shade for a lunch box, followed by a final swim or a quiet stroll along the spring’s vicinity before heading back to your hotel in Arusha in the evening.

Following breakfast, your driver-guide will be readily available to take you on an exciting day of game-viewing in Tarangire National Park.
Away from the busier areas, Tarangire National Park promises visitors wilderness and adventure. Known for its authentic and sophisticated game-viewing, it stands out as a prime dry-season sanctuary, especially from July to October. The park is home to one of Tanzania’s highest wildlife concentrations and is often referred to as the “elephant playground” due to the large number of these majestic creatures. By late October, as the short-wet season begins, you may witness their migration.
Throughout the year, Tarangire also offers sightings of hartebeests, wildebeests, zebras, elands, lesser kudus, gazelles, waterbucks, giraffes, impalas, and occasionally leopards or rhinos, making it a wildlife haven in every season. This region truly embodies the raw allure of an African safari.
After lunch, you’ll resume your game-viewing drive. As the day winds down, you’ll head to your lodge in Ngorongoro highlands for dinner and overnight on a full board occupancy basis.

These two days focus on enjoying two game drives each day, perhaps a hot-air balloon flight on the fifth day or a bush lunch and full-day game view. The forth day unfolds with a captivating game-viewing drive en route to Serengeti via Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
The park has become synonymous with African Safaris, boasting golden sunsets over the savannah, clouds of orange dust, and the famous Great Migration. Renowned for its impressive population of leopard, cheetah, and lion, the Serengeti, meaning “Endless Plains,” envelops the soul of African extraordinary wilderness. Here, the resplendence unfolds as the site of the world’s most spectacular annual overland migration of terrestrial animals.
Depending on the time of year, you will have the opportunity to witness the theater of nature, where over a million wildebeest, 200,000 zebras, and 300,000 Thomson’s gazelles, alongside various antelope species, traverse the endless plains. The Serengeti’s grandeur, enriched by the perpetual dance of predators and preys, paints an unforgettable safari canvas.

From this elevated vantage point, the vast expanse of the crater comes right into view before your eyes, reducing even the mighty elephants to mere specks in the landscape.
